There are reasons for that, I was out of work for a solid 2 years, work responsibilities, and crazy schedules…  We have not been in a place to spend off from work.

So with GREAT excitement Sarah (Sid) and I headed out on on our first real vacation.. and we would like to invite you along (sort of).

DAY ONE -

5:00 am – Wake Up (yeah, it was an early start…and a late night the night before…)

6:30 am – Backs packed, car loaded, flip flops on…time to head out to Disney… Oh yeah..did I mention we had a plan to ride all 4 of the roller coasters at Disney World before our trip??

8:20 am – we are at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and ready for Rockin’ Roller Coaster.  It was also Star Wars Weekend, so we had to navigate through a HUGE amount of geeks, nerds, Sci-Fi addicts, and storm troopers.

8:45 am – Upside Down 

9:00 am – Back in the car and headed to Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain…here we come!

9:30 am – HUGE crowds in MK today, and we are in line for Space Mountain, it was a 20 minute wait!

9:50 am – flying through the galaxy!

10:40 am – back in the car, headed to an undisclosed location to shoot guns…LOTS of guns.  THIS is how you start a vacation. Unfortunately, we only got to 2 out of the 4 coasters, but it was a very lofty goal!

12:00 – We arrive at campsite and join in shooting, among others, an AR-15, Ruger 9mm, Ruger .380, .38 special, and a H & R “Pardner” pump action 12 gauge shot gun.

1:00 pm – We are ALL covered with GSR (gun shot residue), I pray that none of us are pulled over by the police for a crime we didn’t commit!

2:00 pm – We arrive at Disney’s Vero Beach Club Resort and Spa.  Just in time for our BRUNCH reservations…I am ravenous!

3:00 pm – I felt like this: 

4:00 pm – We are checked in and our room is AMAZING!  Thanks Rick.

The rest of the day was spent napping, watching TV, and having an amazing dinner.   There were drinks, cigars, laughs, stories, discussions, laughter…lots of laughter.  

The group of people I am spending the early part of the week with are all Disney friends and their families.  This is truly a gift.  We are already starting to relax and become more like our old selves.  This week is going to TOTALLY rock!
